Occupancy ranking for extras of a DECAF packing family.

Not Li–Jamieson Hyperband. There is no resource schedule (r, eta r, ldots). Champion of a family (lowest energy) stays. Keep (lfloor n_{mathrm{extra}} / eta rfloor) extras, (eta = 3). Surplus Leave into a leftover-SOAP hole (crate::catalog::is_occupancy_leave_action). Rank as soon as DECAF assigns a family. Feynman–Kac epochs call the same verdict. A sole occupant and an unassigned packing stay.

Variables

const DEFAULT_MAX_RESOURCE: u64

Hop cap used when the coordinator has no explicit rung ceiling.

Serial recommended Marks first hits sit at hops 33847–58779. A 1000-hop ceiling reseeds extras before any of those walks can leave the icosahedral shelf.

const MIN_RESOURCE: u64

First recorded hop rung, kept for the resource helper. Ranking of an assigned DECAF family does not wait for this value.

const REDUCTION_FACTOR: u32

Reduction factor (eta). Same default as Optuna HyperbandPruner.
